After over 19 years working in communications I decided to set up RK Social Comms so that I could help companies make the most of communicating with their customers. After studying Archaeology (yes really!) I initially worked in consumer publishing and completed an MA in journalism which enabled me to work on consumer magazines for several years. I then moved into PR, running a Press Office for many years before moving into Online Marketing, specialising in CRM & social media. I managed the award winning communications strategy for Jordans Cereals, one of Associated British Foods leading brands for many years before moving to John Lewis where I managed both eCRM & social media strategies for several years (including Christmas campaigns Bear & Hare, Monty the Penguin and Man on the Moon).  I am currently working on an exciting CRM & social media project for a leading hotel chain which combines online channels and places the customer at the heart of the journey. I believe that all communications needs to have the consumer at the centre of the message and build strategies & campaigns to reflect this while fulfilling business targets.
